Image
According to leading industry experts, so as to be a fantastic product manager, it is very important to have enough understanding about the different methodologies of Agile Product Development.  Merchandise managers should keep a receptive mind concerning the agile product development methods to deliver advanced product design and development processes. Agile broadly constitutes a wide variety of methods for product development and management. It is a set of applications growing methods based on repetitive and incremental development, wherein solutions and needs evolve due to collaboration between cross functional and self-organizing teams. This type of system promotes flexible preparation together with evolutionary growth as well as delivery, a gradual and repetitive approach while promoting flexible and rapid response to modifications. Agile Product Development catching industry focus With each passing day, an increasing number of companies are turning towards different methods

Why Use Agile Methods

Today every organization wants faster and quality releases. Therefore organizations are shifting from the waterfall model to the agile model.   This model works on sprints and helps teams to maintain and deliver projects within the time frame.  With continuous iterations, teams can deliver the product according to the changing requirements. It has gained importance in IT organizations as it allows teams to coordinate and deliver better and faster results. Let us now see some of the reasons that explain why this methodology should be used What is agile methodology? It is a software development and testing approach that follows certain values or principles stated in the agile manifesto for software development. In this model, product development and testing occur simultaneously.  Agile methodology follows an incremental/iterative approach where requirements develop gradually from customers and testing teams. The main aim of this methodology is to deliver robust software to end-user

Agile Model vs. Waterfall Model

What is agile model? Agile model combines both iterative and incremental process models. This model focuses on process adaptability and satisfying the customers by swift delivery of software product. The agile model divides the product into small incremental builds. These builds are then iterated. The time taken for each iteration is approximately one to three weeks.     Cross-functional teams involve themselves in each iteration and see to that it is properly undertaken. Once the iteration is successfully completed, then the final product is shared to the customer for their feedback. Advantages of agile model: ·          Teamwork and cross-training is encouraged ·          It is adaptable to both fixed and changing requirements in line with product development ·          It is suitable for product development of such products and environments where changes take place frequently ·          Simple to follow rules and an easy to understand documentation process ·
